Welcome! Dakota StuGo is a student-run organization that is involved in planning some of the largest events at Dakota High School. You must apply and be accepted to be on Student Government. At the end of each school year, students are able to apply to be a part of student government for the following year. You must be committed; activities run year round and meetings are every Monday after school. The following events are events planned, organized, and executed by Dakota Student Government:
-Homecoming
-Community Service
-Teacher Appreciation
-Charity
-Rock-the-Runway
-Powderpuff
Student Government is not just about event planning; we also do a lot of bonding as a council and leadership enrichment. Each summer, everyone in Student Government is invited to attend our retreat. This is a great opportunity for freshmen and other new members to become integrated into this organization while having fun and getting to know other people. During the school year, the Michigan Association of Student Councils and Honor Societies (or MASC/MAHS) puts together different leadership conferences, including a state-wide conference toward the end of the year!
